Linking Objectives and Insights
Altify can be configured so that you can associate your objectives with specific insights from the insight map of the relevant account. You know this functionality is enabled if you see the Linked Insights button on the Objectives & Actions page - as indicated in the example below:
You can link multiple account insights to an objective associated with the same account.
The following actions are explained in this topic:
Link an insight to an objective
To link your objective with an insight, do the following on the Objectives page:

In the Data View or List View, click the paperclip icon
for the relevant objective.A number next to this icon (e.g.
) indicates the number of insights and/or opportunities that are already linked with the objective. (Your admin can also enable the linking of opportunities with objectives).

In the dialog named for the objective, make sure that the Insight Linking tab is selected as shown in the example below. (If your admin has enabled opportunity linking, there are two tabs available).

In the dialog, you will see the insights created for the account and its divisions.
Use the search field to locate a specific insight.
If enabled, the Show linked only toggle filters the list to only show insights that are already linked with your objective.

Select the check box of each insight that you want link with your objective and then click Save.
View insights linked to objectives
There are three options for viewing insights linked with your

Linked Insights: click this button (indicated below) to view all insights that are currently linked with an objective in your
The button indicates the number of insights that are currently linked. In the example shown below, two insights are currently linked with objectives in the plan.
On the Linked Insights dialog, click an Insight Name to view the insight in full on the relevant account or division insight map.

View Objective: click this icon
to open the Objective dialog. The Insights value ('1' in the example below) shows the number of insights that are linked with the objective. Click the value to access them.

On the account or division insight map, linked objectives are displayed on the insight's details panel - as indicated in the example below:
Unlink an insight from an objective
To unlink an insight from an objective, do the following:

In the Data View or List View on the Objectives & Actions page, click the paperclip icon
for the relevant objective. -
In the dialog named for the objective, make sure that the Insight Linking tab is selected.

Enable the toggle Show linked only (as indicated below) so that all the linked insights are listed.
(This is good practice so that you don't unlink the wrong insight by mistake).

Clear the check box of the insight or insights that you wish to unlink from the objective (as shown in the example below).
(A check box in the header row allows you to unlink all the displayed opportunities if required).

Click Save.
